mum

I saw this prayer this morning. In light of the sermon I heard yesterday and where I am in life, it expresses some of my desire.

"Come! Spirit of Love! Penetrate and transform us by the action of Your purifying life. May Your constant, brooding love bring forth in us more love and all the graces and works of love. Give us grace to remain still under its action, and may that humble stillness be our prayer. Amen" - Evelyn Underhill

Grace and Peace,
Jane

Love, love, love the picture! Orange is my favorite color. I even have an orange couch. Sooooo, if this print is ever available for sale...let me know :)
Thanks for the quote too.

i had to think about this prayer a little bit.

at first i thought "brooding" meant thinking about something anxiously or gloomily, but then i realized it could also mean hovering over in order to hatch.

now when i read the prayer, i picture God at work incubating the new life and love that he has placed in us. cool!

Once again, a beautiful picture and wonderful thought. I especially need to think about the last sentence more. Love your insights!
