garden views
We have two plots at a community garden about 10 minutes from our house. The "annual" plot gets plowed up every year and after the plots are marked we dig into the dirt and start fresh.
Our "perennial" plot has raised beds and some fruit trees and raspberries. The picture below is of garlic we planted last fall. These patches of dirt have become a favorite place of ours. We often refer to them as our cottage.

blueberry buds
It appears that we may have blueberries on one of our bushes this year. (We only have two.) I guess all the covering and uncovering we did to protect the blooms from frost paid off. How will we enjoy them when they are ripe? I bet we eat them before we get home!

Tomato starts
Mike planted tomato seeds on April 9 and they have been growing under lights in our basement. For the past week we have been putting the tomato starts outside during the day for longer and longer periods of time. This gets them acclimated and strong enough to be planted in our garden plot. Maybe this Saturday.!

Potatoes
We are going to grow potatoes again this year. Mike ordered seed potatoes from Johnny's and they arrived about a month ago. After spending some time in the fridge, they are now growing eyes before we plant them.
(I think I just mixed up the yukon golds and adirondack blues to take a group picture. Oops!)
